Campaign 5000
Campaign 5000 is a multi-disciplinary effort designed to raise awareness and spark widespread discussion concerning the importance of toxic succession planning for businesses, trusts and estates. "Toxic Succession" is the passing of contaminated properties at death, where the environmental cleanup liabilities are passed to the heirs, business partners, or other beneficiaries who acquire title to that property.
The Campaign 5000 team of professionals, headed up by Kevin Daehnke, seek to rectify the dearth of information on toxic succession in the succession planning community. They do so by partnering with as many accountants, lawyers, trusts, wealth managers, and succession planning professionals as possible. The Campaign 5000 outreach seeks to ensure that identifying and addressing potential site contamination issues becomes a regular part of every thoughtful estate or business succession planning effort.
